《My Story》

ABOUT

Ever since I was little, I’ve been fascinated by American culture. That curiosity led me to study abroad, build a career in the U.S., and become a licensed mental health counselor. I spent 11 years living in four different states, meeting incredible people, and experiencing life in a whole new way. It was an amazing journey, and a part of me will always cherish the life I built there.

After returning to Japan in 2010, I experienced reverse culture shock and sometimes felt out of place in my own country. But over time, I rediscovered the beauty of Japan, it’s culture, its people, and the connections we share. These experiences sparked my desire: to live freely, with a playful spirit, and embrace what I have and who I am becoming.

After over 20 years of clinical work, guided by a passion for psychology and the privilege of witnessing human transformation, and after co-founding and running a group private practice, I wanted to create something new beyond my typical psychotherapy practice.

I envisioned a sanctuary for thoughtful, creative, intuitive, and introspective leaders who may be (or long to be) quietly invisible yet who are unapologetically visible. A space to pause, breathe, and set aside the roles they carry before returning to the world with clear energy and a light heart.

That’s how Thrive Life Design was born.

On a personal note, I am an ambivert, leaning towards an introvert. I am a deep thinker, an observer, and an emotionally intuitive person. I am also a visionary, a builder, and a dreamer. I’ve taken on challenging tasks to change my life, and I’ve had the privilege of witnessing others do the same.


Since 2011, I’ve been serving the international communities in Japan. I understand the joys and challenges of living between cultures.

My values here: transformation, creativity, intuition, freedom, curiosity, hope, calm, flexibility, and peace.

I believe we have the power to design a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
