Quiet Reflection Series #001-#005
One question. A small opening. A shift inside.
Every week, I’ve been sharing one quiet reflection question on LinkedIn with one of my father’s photos.
This has become one of my favourite things to create. I think about the question I want to ask, then look for the photo that feels right.
This has become a way of honouring my father.
He loved climbing mountains and exploring new places — sometimes with us, sometimes with his company’s “mountain club.”
He always carried a camera.
For years, his photos were simply part of the background of my life.
As I build Thrive Life Design, using his images feels natural. I’ve also been using his photos in many of my other posts and blogs, not just the reflection series.
He’s been doing shūkatsu 終活— organizing his belongings and digitizing his photos so things are easier for me later.
One day, he said this.
“A few generations after I am gone, no one would remember these photos.”
But now they’re here.
Part of my work.
Part of the atmosphere I want to create.
And I’m grateful I get to do this while he’s still here, honouring his legacy in real time.
This blog gathers the first five quiet reflection questions in one place.
More to come.
